Do I have to file
a claim for reimbursement?
No. Effective dates of
services on or after April 1, 2002, suppliers such as Aapex Pharmacy must file claims for glucose supplies and test strips on
behalf of the beneficiary. Medicare will no longer accept claims
filed by the beneficiary. Aapex Pharmacy accepts assignment
from you to bill Medicare and secondary private insurance directly
on your behalf. However, you will receive your diabetes supplies
immediately upon verification of your eligibility.
